Kenya Safari Booking Terms and Conditions

1. Booking and Payments

  • A deposit of 60% of the total safari cost is required to confirm a booking. The balance must be paid at least 30 days before the safari start date.

  • For last-minute bookings (within 30 days of departure), full payment is required at the time of booking.

  • Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other approved methods.

2. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 60 days before departure: Full refund minus a 10% administration fee.

  • Cancellations made 30–59 days before departure: 50% of the total safari cost is refundable.

  • Cancellations made less than 30 days before departure: No refund.

  • No refunds are provided for missed activities due to late arrival or early departure.

3. Safari Alterations

  • Lavira Safaris reserves the right to alter itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, road conditions, or security concerns.

  • Any changes will be communicated in advance, and alternative arrangements will be made where possible.

4. Travel Documents and Insurance

  • Clients must ensure they have valid passports, visas, and required vaccinations.

  • It is mandatory for clients to have travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and personal belongings.

5. Liability and Responsibility

  • Lavira Safaris is not responsible for personal injuries, loss of personal items, or delays caused by third parties such as airlines and hotels.

  • Clients participate in safaris at their own risk. Wildlife encounters are unpredictable, and safety guidelines must be followed at all times.

6. Health and Safety

  • Clients must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions that may affect their participation in the safari.

  • It is advised to carry personal medication and adhere to all health guidelines, including malaria prevention measures.

7. Force Majeure

  • Lavira Safaris shall not be liable for failure to fulfill obligations due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, pandemics, or political unrest.

8. Governing Law

  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved in Kenyan courts.
