Do you arrange group/Jeep sharing safari tours at Lavira Safaris?
Almost all safari tours operated by Lavira Safaris are private per booking and are operated in own pop up top 4×4 jeep with a dedicated tour driver / guide.
Guests booking with Lavira Safaris can however form private groups to travel together as families or friends
We do not make tour groups from individual bookings for medium / long range safari tours .This is to allow foe flexibility, customization, pace and choice of safari lodge / camp preference

Is there WiFi at the safari lodges & tented camps on safari?
Most safari lodges and tented camps offer WiFi in the common areas, though the connection may be limited due to remote locations. Some high-end lodges provide in-room WiFi.
Can we request an extra night/day on safari while on a group-sharing tour?
Yes, you can request an extension of your safari. However, this is subject to availability, and additional costs will apply. We recommend making such requests in advance.
Can we choose a favorite tour driver-guide from online reviews or guide profiles?
While we assign experienced driver-guides based on availability, we can accommodate special requests when possible. Let us know in advance if you have a preferred guide.
Are mosquito nets provided in safari lodge rooms/tents?
Yes, most lodges and tented camps provide mosquito nets in their accommodations to ensure a comfortable stay.
Do you have a maximum number of persons allowed to sleep in one safari room/tent?
Yes, most lodges and tented camps allow a maximum of 2–3 adults per room/tent. Family tents or interconnecting rooms may be available upon request.
What is the size/weight limit allowance of an individual in a safari Jeep?
For comfort and safety, our safari Jeeps have a recommended individual weight limit of approximately 120 kg (265 lbs). Special arrangements can be made for guests exceeding this limit.
What is the baggage allowance on local domestic/internal flights?
Most domestic flights in Kenya allow a baggage limit of 15 kg (33 lbs) per passenger, including hand luggage. Soft-sided bags are recommended for easy storage.
Do you provide airport-hotel-airport transfers when we arrive and depart from Nairobi or Mombasa?
Yes, we offer airport transfers to and from your hotel in Nairobi or Mombasa as part of our service.
Do you book or recommend a Nairobi hotel for our pre- or post-safari stay?
Yes, we can recommend and book a Nairobi hotel based on your budget and preferences.
What is the difference between a safari lodge and a tented camp?
A safari lodge is a permanent structure with hotel-style rooms, while a tented camp offers canvas accommodations with modern amenities. Both provide a unique safari experience.
When proceeding to the Kenya coast at the end of the safari, where/when do we get our Nairobi to Mombasa first-class train tickets?
We can arrange and pre-book your Nairobi to Mombasa SGR train tickets. You will receive your tickets in advance via email or at our office/hotel in Nairobi.
Is the Nairobi to Mombasa SGR train safe for both passengers and luggage?
Yes, the SGR train is safe and reliable. Security screenings are conducted before boarding, and luggage is securely stored.
What are your safari tipping guidelines for safari tour guests?
Tipping is optional but appreciated. Suggested tipping guidelines:
Driver-guide: $5–$10 per person per day
Lodge staff: $1–$3 per staff member
Porters: $1 per bag
What are the visa requirements for tourist travelers to Kenya?

What are the distances and driving times on safari?
Driving distances and times vary depending on your itinerary. For example:
Nairobi to Masai Mara: 5–6 hours
Nairobi to Amboseli: 4–5 hours
Nairobi to Samburu: 5–6 hours
What is the difference between luxury, comfort, and economy accommodation options listed on tour packages?

What is a single-room supplement/extra?
A single-room supplement is an additional fee charged to solo travelers who prefer a private room instead of sharing.
What safari vehicle types do you use on your tours?
We use 4×4 safari Jeeps (Land Cruisers) and safari vans, depending on the tour package. Jeeps are recommended for off-road adventures.
Are international flight costs included in your advertised safari tour prices?
No, international flight costs are not included. Our tour prices cover in-country transport, accommodation, meals, park fees, and activities as per the itinerary
